During the breathing session, I guide you in a specific breathing technique, namely conscious connected breath. With this technique, you breathe through your mouth, without pauses between inhaling and exhaling. It’s an active way of breathing that can bring deep healing on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
Physical: An active breathing session provides more energy, detoxifies, and strengthens the immune system. It balances the acidity in the blood and massages muscles, organs, and blood vessels. It supports blood flow and lymph drainage. Oxygen is the primary source with which we nourish our cells. Breathing in oxygen strengthens the immune system, while exhaling ensures that toxins and waste products are released. Most people use only 30% of their respiratory system. Therefore, there is much to gain here.
Emotional: Emotions are essentially nothing more than energy in motion. If you can stay with an emotion with full attention and keep breathing calmly, then this feeling will quickly pass. Trauma and emotions labeled as negative have a low vibrational frequency. If you breathe in life energy with a high vibrational frequency, it automatically goes to the area in the body with a low vibrational frequency. This automatically causes them to attain the same higher vibrational level. In this way, you can integrate emotions. Everything that you have not fully felt in your life becomes lodged in your organs and other parts of the body. During the breathing session, you accept the arising emotions and come into contact with that energy in the body.
Mental: There is always a continuous interaction between what we feel, think, and do. The body and mind cannot be seen as separate from each other. During a breathing session, you can gain insight into certain thought patterns and beliefs and how they influence you.
A breathing session is suitable if you want to get to the core of issues without having to discuss and analyze everything. It’s an effective way to get out of your head and connect more with your body and feelings. You can gain valuable insights into yourself or certain patterns, and then you can continue to work with these insights.
Contraindications for Connected Breath
Unfortunately, there are several contraindications for a breathing session: cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, aneurysm, epilepsy, glaucoma, retinal detachment, kidney diseases, diabetes, severe asthma, severe psychiatric or psychosomatic disorders, recent surgery or other injuries, and pregnancy. If you fall into one of these categories, the session may need to be adjusted or extra caution is required. It may also be that in your specific situation, connected breathing is not possible at this time. Safety is paramount, so when in doubt, consult a doctor.
